The Denton ISD Catastrophic Sick Leave Bank is a voluntary program that provides additional leave days to members who are on a consecutive leave of absence due to the catastrophic illness or injury of the employee or the employee's immediate family member (spouse, child, and/or parent). A member can apply for up to 25 days from the bank per school year (July 1 through June 30), and a lifetime maximum of 75 days applies. To become a member of the Bank, you must contribute a one-time donation of two (2) local leave days. An additional local leave day (1) may be donated in the event the employee is on an approved consecutive leave of absence to care for an immediate family member as defined above.
