Denton ISD provides the following programs designed to help you actively manage your healthcare costs while supporting Denton’s ability to continue offering valuable benefits to all participants. 

The Select Drugs and Products Program will assist our members who are taking higher cost specialty medications. The Select Drugs and Products Program will help to get these medications at no cost or a reduced cost for eligible employees.  If you are on one of these medications, you will need to work with The Select Drugs and Products Program to determine if you are eligible. If you are prescribed a prescription drug, product, or service included on the Plan's Select Drugs and Products list, you must enroll in the Program to comply with your plan's benefit requirements. 

International Mail Order Programs

• CANARX allows you to receive a 90-day supply of certain brand-name medications at no cost after you have received at least one fill through your pharmacy benefit in the U.S. Medications are primarily traditional and oral brand drugs from Canada, Great Britian, or Australia and are shipped directly to you in original manufacturer packing from a network pharmacy in these countries. To see if you are utilizing a brand drug in the program, check the CANARX website at www.CANARX.com and input Web ID: DISD or call 866-893-6337. Once you are enrolled, CANARX will contact your provider for a new 90-day prescription. You should have 30 days of medication on hand when enrolling into the CANARX program to allow time for processing and shipping.

• ElectRx allows you to receive a supply of certain specialty medications at no cost after you have received at least one fill through your pharmacy benefit in the U.S. Medications are primarily specialty and injectable brand drugs. Some specialty medications are limited to a 30-day supply. Call ElectRx at 855-353-2879 to see if you are utilizing a brand drug in the program and to enroll.
