Medical insurance, also known as health insurance, is coverage that helps you pay the high cost of medical and hospital expenses. 

Depending on the coverage you choose, this insurance will help pay toward or completely cover annual physicals, doctor visits, hospitalization and emergency room visits. Many times you will be offered more than one plan to choose from, so please review the summary of benefits in detail to determine which plan is right for you.

This benefit may also be available to your spouse and dependent children.

Important Medical Insurance information!  Eanes ISD is transitioning to a single medical insurance provider, TRS-ActiveCare. Please review the following information carefully. 
• Current TSHBP participants: this plan will no longer be offered as of 9/1/2022; information was emailed to all participants earlier this year. If you wish to continue medical coverage for the 2022-23 year, you MUST log in to the benefits system and select a TRS-ActiveCare or Scott & White HMO medical plan. Failure to actively select a plan will result in no medical coverage beginning 9/1/2022. 
• Current TRS-ActiveCare participants: you will remain enrolled in the same plan unless you make a change. To change your PCP, call TRS-ActiveCare Customer Service: 888-355-5999. Refer to https://www.bcbstx.com/trsactivecare for additional medical plan information.
